‘ A small common man has the chance to dream, to shine in the most perfect light, just for a bright second.

Don’t let the uncaring, greedy machine shackle this true sublime moment ‘

Normal for Norfolk (25/07/11)

We’ve been whipping up some t-shirts for a cool company called Normal for Norfolk, based in…..you guessed it, Norfolk!  It’s in a beautiful part of the county called Wells-Next-The-Sea and the clothing shop sells quirky gear and home furnishings which are described as being ‘normal for Norfolk’ (or N.F.N).  The term N.F.N was a derogatory term used by doctors at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital to categorise some of their more ‘intellectually challenged’ patients. The term was then abbreviated to N.F.N. which could easily be added to case notes for the purposes of quick reference.  In some ways N.F.N. has been embraced as a term of endearment, and its popularity demonstrates the admirable ability of Norfolk folk to laugh at themselves.  The shop itself is about appreciating the best of Norfolk and celebrating what makes it unique, a relatively unspoilt backwater where most things are best left just as they are.  Check it out on Staithe Street if you are hanging out there on hols this Summer.

Mad Monk (26/05/11)

We printed 600 t-shirts for the Mad Monk Adventure Race in Derby last weekend; a 10k run, swim and assault course……tired yet?!  It was even voted ‘Race of the Week’!  Have a look at the piccy of some competitors wearing the t’s which were distributed in goody bags once the event was complete.

Mad Monk and aaa-adventures other races including Water Wipeout in June at Home Pierpoint in Nottingham and Wild Thing in September at Brailsford, are a fresh new concept in the runner’s world. These events are not just a race, they are an adventure with obstacles and challenges to raise your heartbeat and your game!  http://www.aaa-adventure.co.uk/Home.html

Nu-Surf 18/04/11

Check out one of the many designs that came out of the Dot Promotional Clothing print workshop last week (in what was the busiest week we can remember). No one was hurt in the production of these t-shirts, and all of the Printers were counted back in safely.

A big day for Max

Congratulations to Max our Print Shop Co-ordinator who has just turned 21. Thanks for being the real reason behind the success of Dot.

Stir It Up 08/02/11

Dot Promotional Clothing cleaned up at the Wooden Spoon http://www.woodenspoon.com/ 6 Nations Quiz Night & Charity Auction event held at Antenna http://www.antenna.uk.com/ in Nottingham last week.

Not only did Dot’s very own Richard  guess Jason Leonards drinking 15 correctly to win a DFS sofa, but barely back in his seat and it was announced that he had won the prize draw too!  Embarassed by this, the prize was put back into the pot.

HRH Zach Pillinger 11/01/11

All at Dot Promotional Clothing were quite impressed at Christmastime when our very own Zach Pillinger popped up in the Queen’s Speech!  Check out the sports round up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7yhg4EIPlA and Zach appears at timing 5.15-5.30.  If we could make a big arrow and point to him we would, but take our word for it that he’s in that boat……
